Standing in a glass tank an almost motionless body is gradually buried in 1 ton of salt. Salt being used due to its loaded political and economic history and the striking contradictions such a basic but beautiful substance holds. This constant shower of salt gives the appearance of a spiritual, ritual healing but in reality, as it builds up around the body, it immediately begins to draw the body’s fluids to the surface through osmosis until eventually all life is sucked from the disappearing figure.
